Here it is finally for sale. This is a 4 foot lamp made with a Real Male Human Skeleton. Well, at least most of one. I bought this Medical Skeleton as a complete left half specimen. It includes the complete Skull and Spine plus left half of Pelvis and left Arm & Hand and left Leg & Foot. Also included were all of the left Ribs. Everything left is complete and was used on the piece! I arranged the Skeleton in a fetal position with the Ribs placed on the right for a pleasing symmetrical look. There is a Bronze hollow pipe running up the Spinal Canal into the Skull and is permanent. I used a Antique Art Deco Bronze floor lamp base for a very heavy, solid & stable base. The lamp top is also Antique Bronze with a real Milk Glass shade. The entire Skeleton was enhanced with Real Sterling Silver and a solid Real Brass Art Deco front piece in the middle of the forehead. After the Skeleton was permanently assembled it was treated with a brown/oxide chemical patina as used for bronze art and coated several times with a flat coat also used in bronze art. This one is very heavy and will have to be shipped in 3 boxes. One for the entire skeleton without the base. The pipe simply fits on the base then you will just have to pull the cord through the hole in the back and snap the plug back on. Its that simple! The base will be shipped in another box since it is solid bronze and weighs about 20 pounds! And the glass shade to be shipped in a third box to avoid breakage. This piece was meant to be my "keeper" since Real Skeletons, even partial, are very expensive and I can not afford the investment so I will be sticking to the Skulls for future work. What I'm saying is, this is it for the skeletons.(SOLD)
