HAND CARVED HUMAN SKULL DISPLAY (Commission)

Things of note...

Besides all of the Real Silver work there was Real Mammoth Ivory rounds used for the eyes, a Real Sterling Celtic design for the center top, very deep cut hand carvings throughout and filed front teeth as requested after the traditions of the ancient Viking skulls found with this feature. A Sterling plated bowl was used inside with subtle engravings to blend with the overall theme and all was mounted on a sterling base that fit the display perfectly. After all was secure and done I added a dull finish to all exposed real skull parts and a tinted gloss epoxy finish to just the silver similar to what is used for bronze art for contrast and aging and to make it look as you see it now forever. Needless to say...this one was quite intense due to the major amounts of carving which included soakings to soften the bone a bit and avoiding sharp blades whilst doing the fine work!
