Real Male Human Skull Last Rites or Sick-Call Home Alter "Kapala" (FULLY FUNCTIONAL).

Six months in the making!

I began by splitting this already medically top cut human skull through the center face. Next heavy duty hinges had to be added to support all of the silver and intense magnets were added within the nose to securely hold the face closed whilst on display. Everything was of course decorated in my style of a "Kapala" using Real Silver & Sterling Silver. The inside of the top of the skull has a custom display finished with crushed blue velvet and holds a holy water bottle and bee's wax candles for use and the inside top has a very heavy real sterling cross display mounted on crushed blue velvet. The outside top of the skull is decorated with a sterling cross display with five real garnets mounted at key points. The face opens and two sterling candle holders are mounted inside each side for complete representation of another cross display while in use. Two sterling bases were combined from antique "Last Rites" alters I used with the complete lower being original with some refinishing. etc. The plaque of the Last Supper is pure sterling and in the back is a handy drawer that includes anything you would need for your home alter needs. As always after everything was permanently assembled the piece was chemically stained and coated with an epoxy finish to last forever.
