Authentic Glowing Male Human "Occult" Skull. Beginning with a Real Skull already cut for medical use I began by carefully removing bone on the skullcap top for a pentagram design whilst leaving bone for the lines. A glass artist friend of mine helped to heat form a piece of stained glass replica material used for skylights for the beautiful look of red veined glass within the pentagram. He also made me two red glass "slag" eyes to use and I can't thank him enough for helping with this one! I then trimmed out the pentagram with Real Silver and proceeded to decorate the skull in a "Kapala" fashion again with various grades of Real Silver. I enlarged the hole where the spine connects to about 3 inches and installed a plastic flange to basically make the whole skull a working lampshade. The base is Real Ironwork with a fitting at the top for the flange to drop into and 3 hand tightening screws to set firmly into place. So...if the 25w bulb burns out all you do is hand loosen the screws and lift the skull off and replace in reverse order. The entire skull was stained as usual with chemical oxide dip and polished back out and then permanently sealed with a gloss epoxy finish to last forever. A in-line switch is installed for ease of turning the light on & off. What really worked out nice is besides the cool glowing eyes and pentagram the cranial cavity glows beautifully in a orange-tan hue. This one was on my brain for a couple of years now but I always thought it would be kind of "cheesy" but after all of the hard work I'm very happy with the way it turned out and am quite excited at how "creepy" it looks whilst lit!
